2 Wire DC Lamp Dimmer Replaces Rheostats: 10/23/97 EDN-Design Ideas / (added 08/05) Originally for use in commercial
trucks, a low-cost dc lamp dimmer (Figure 1) can control more than 100W of incandescent panel lighting and replaces a high-power rheostat, whose heating darkens instrument panel.
circuit has several unique advantages: A two-wire connection means no change to existing wire harnesses, high efficiency means minimal heat sinking, and a typical circuit costs less than
rheostat it replaces. |

2 Wire Lamp Flasher: Ideal to operate3 to24 Volt DC existing on-Circuit lamps LED operation is also possible (added 6/06) |

220 Volt Flashing Lights: Especially designed for Christmas tree lamps to replace old rmally-activated switches (added
9/04)) |
|
230V Dimmer: A reliable and efficient all-around performer. I bought kit because it didn't cost me much more than
components were worth and I also got a nice professional-made PCB inside. As you can see, this is a tried-and-true diac & triac combination that offers both simplicity and high performance.
With a load up to 3.5A, power rating is 750W at 230V. A heat sink on triac is a must! Note: for 110V operation, add a 220k resistor in parallel with 470k pot. No or
modification is necessary. But since maximum allowed current is still 3.5A, highest possible power output will drop to 380W. (added 11/05) |

2-wire Lamp Flasher: This circuit has been designed to provide that continuous light lamps already wired into a circuit, become flashing. Simply insert circuit between existing
lamp and negative supply. Especially suited for car or panel pilot lights, this device can drive lamps up to 10W.... (design added 11/06) |

3-Way Dimming CFL Ballast: 3 way dimming system widely adopted in US with conventional filament lamps consists of a
light bulb that has a modified Edison screw type base which allows 3 connections to be made to a special lamp socket that also has 3 connections. (added 3/05) |

40 Watt Fluorescent Lamp Inverter: This40W fluorescent lamp inverter allows you to run40W fluorescent tubes from any12V
source capable of delivering3A. (added 4/02) |
|
42 Watt Compact Fluorescent Ballast: CFL-2 is an electronic ballast design for driving a 42 watt compact fluorescent lamp
from a 120 or 230 volt AC line. circuit was designed using IR2156 Ballast Driver IC. main features of circuit are programmable frequency, preheat time, over-current
threshold and dead time. (added 3/05) |
