Water Pump controlled by Solar Power - A Discover Circuits visitor had a problem.  He needed a simple on/off controller for his solar powered water pump.  His system used two 12v 50 watt solar panels wired in series.  The power from the solar panels drove a submerged water pump.  However, during . . . Hobby Circuit designed by David Johnson P.E.-October, 2010

Washing Machine Motor Controller - Washing machines usually employ a single-phase motor.  In semi-automatic washing machines, a purely mechanical switch controls the timing and direction of the motor.  These switches are costly and wear out easily.  Here’s...__ Electronics Projects for You

Water Detector with Sump/Bilge Pump Controller - This moisture detector with pump controller is built around the special purpose LM1830 IC.  The LM1830 is designed to detect moisture by passing an AC current through a set of probes.  An internal comparator compares the resistance of the probes to an internal reference.  When the resistance between the probes is low  (indicating the presence of water or other conductive liquid) then the IC triggers it's output.  An AC signal avoids electroplating and corrosion problems that are common when DC is used. __ Designed by Aaron Cake

Water Drain Pump Controller - A hole needs to be digged at the lowest place in the celler that have water incoming problems.  The hole is about 0.5 x 0.5 x 0.5 meter, at the bottom a large water pump is mounted.  Then the different water levels was measured, so we know how to make the sensors.   __ Designed by Thomas Scherrer OZ2CPU

Water system controller (PDF) - Schematic only __ Designed by Allan N. Hessenflow

White LED Head Lamp - A white LED head lamp which can operate with only two AA batteries.  The LEDs are driven in constant current, so that the brightness is maintained until end of battery life.   __ Designed by The Electronic Lives Manufacturing-presented Chan

Windmill DIY Analog MPPT (maximum power point tracker) - I would like to share the design of my Windmill maximum power point tracking  (MPPT) circuit in enough detail so someone with some electronics experience could make it for their windmill.  I am pleased with the performance, so far

Wiper Speed Control - A continuously working wiper in a car may prove to be a nuisance, especially when it is not raining heavily.  By using the circuit described here one can vary sweeping rate of the wiper from once a second to once in ten seconds

Wireless RF PWM Dual Motor Controller - This is a very simple Wireless RF transmitter circuit that consists of the Holtek HT-12E encoder chip and AM 418MHZ-transmitter module  (WZ-X01, other similar device can be used) .  Using the hybrid RF xmit/receive modules make building the RF remote control a lot easy __ Contact: info @ wzmicro.com

Wireless Stepper Motor Controllers - Here is a low-cost and simple wireless stepper motor controller using infrared signals.  Using this circuit you can control the stepper motor from a distance of up to four metres.  The circuit...__ Electronics Projects for You

Working with Stepper Motors -  We've all experimented with small "hobby motors", or free-spinning DC motors.  Stepper motor driver that will allow you to precisely control a unipolar stepper motor through your computer's parallel port. With a stepper motor you can build a lot of interesting gadgets such as robots, elevator, PCB drilling mill, camera panning system, automatic fish feeder, etc. If you have never worked with stepper motors before you will surely have a lot of fun with this project.

Zener-based - Type 1 (Voltage Controlled) Solar Engine - This design uses a Zener diode to determine the voltage trip level.  Simple variants of this design use LEDs or plain old diodes in series to accomplish the same thing. __ Designed by Wilf Rigter

Zener-based solar engine - Voltage-Controlled Solar Engine:This design uses a Zener diode to determine the voltage trip level.  Simple variants of this design use LEDs or plain old diodes in series to accomplish the same thing.   __ Designed by Wilf Rigter and Eric Seale

Zoelen Bridge Z-Bridge - A Cheaper H-Bridge Design the Zoelen Bridge  (Z-Bridge)  __ Designed by Wilf Rigter
