Links to electronic circuits, electronic schematics and designs for engineers, hobbyists, students & inventors:

Talking Fish Hack -  These items were sold nationally several years ago.  The fish would sing, open its mouth, turn its head, and flap its tail.  After removing the back panel, all of the existing electronics were removed leaving only the 3 servo motors, speaker and photocell)  __ Designed by Luhan Monat - Mesa Arizona

Talking Frog Box -  This device 'listens' to a conversations and then interjects words and phrases at inappropriate times.   __ Designed by Luhan Monat-Mesa Arizona

Tektronix THS720 Screen Capture Software -  Basic software, not like the fancy stuff that costs real money.   __ Designed by Bob Blick

Tele-Call Interceptor -  PIC  Project  This device connects between the phone line, an answering machine, and your phones.  When a phone call comes in, the answering machine picks up the call and informs the caller to enter the access code to ring the phone or to wait for the beep and leave a message.  if the correct code is entered, the answering machine is immediately disconnected while the device generates phone ringing tones on an external speaker.  Picking up any phone causes the device to return to its initial state.   __ Designed by Luhan Monat-Mesa Arizona

Telephone call screener with voice -  PIC  Project  This unit is an upgrade of the previous phone call interceptor.  instead of using an answering machine to provide the outgoing message and recording functions, it uses the iSD4004 (from Windbond Electronics).  The iSD4004 records up to 8 minutes of audio.  I use the first several seconds for outgoing message prompts.  The remaining time is used to record up to 30 messages, depending on message length.   __ Designed by Luhan Monat-Mesa Arizona

Telephone Operated Remote Control using PIC16F84a MicroController -  This design controls up to 8 devices using a PIC  microcontroller (PIC 16F84A) connected to the phone line.  The unique feature here is that unlike other telephone line based remote control, this device does not need the call to be answered at the remote end so the call will not be charged.  This device depends on number of rings given on the telephone line__

Ten-Amp 13.8 Volt Power Supply -  Sometimes amateurs like to home-brew their power supplies instead of purchasing one off the shelf at any of the major ham radio retail dealers.  The advantage to rolling your own power supply is that it teaches us how they work and makes it easier to troubleshoot and repair other power supply units in the shack.  it should be noted that there is no real cost advantage to building your own power supply unless you can get a large power transformer and heat sink for a super low price.  Of course rolling our own gives us the ability to customize the circuit and make it even more reliable than commercial units.   __ Designed by N1HFX

Tenma power supply Modifications -  Tenma power supply modifications and improvements __ Designed by Thomas Scherrer OZ2CPU

Terminal Interface with Minimum Mass Wireless Coupler -  AT90S2313 This is a Minimum Mass Wireless Coupler that connects a terminal, or PC running terminal software, to other Minimum Masss Wireless devices by means of a 1200 baud data channel at 181.818 kHz.   __ Designed by Dick Cappels

The Leach Amp -  One amplifier builder found that the 2N5416 PNP transistors that he purchased were NPN.  I have tested them and verified this.  Two of the transistors are shown in the linked photo.  They are identified by the letters ON surrounded by a circle, signifying they are products of ON Semiconductor.  You can check__

Theater Home Project -  PIC  Project  This unit is designed to interface: TV sound, videotape sound, and 5.1 dvd sound to a 4 channel home theater system.   __ Designed by Luhan Monat - Mesa Arizona

Timers Collection -  Did you know there are at least 6 different kinds of timers? This circuit implements all of them!  With our complete PCB design, you can build yourself an universal module, compelte with power regulator.   __ Designed by Projects & Ideas from Nutchip.com

Tiny Motors -  Miniature motors are wonderful for B.  E.  A.  M.  robots or moving small loads.  A plentiful source of inexpensive commercial motors are those used as vibrating alerts in pagers and cell phones.  But how does one remove the metal offset weight? __ Contact David Cook

Tiny Tuned Loop Antennas for the Minimum Mass Wireless Coupler -  Loop Antennas are considered to be "samall" when their diameter drops below about 1/10 of the wavelength they are intended to be used at.  in this case, I use the term "Tiny" because the antenna's diameter is about 1/30, 000 the wavelength, and at 5.5 cm __ Designed by Dick Cappels

Touch Keypad -  This board layout was created using the SOIC  version of a PIC 16F627A without drawing the usual schematic first.  Most of the part values are etched on the Layout.  The SiP resistor packs I used are 10k ohm, some experimentation with this value may be useful __ Designed by Luhan Monat - Mesa Arizona

Toy Car Hack -  This car measures just 5 1/2 inches in length.  it was sold as a remote control car for $19.95 at Fry's Electronics here in Phoenix.  Powered by 4 AAA batteries, it has a small dc motor and a very interesting steering mechanism. (08/08/08)  __ Designed by Luhan Monat - Mesa Arizona

Traffic Light Timer -  The 555 timer IC is connected for Astable Operation, the clock pulses are fed to the 4017 IC via the 10K resistor.  The 4017 is a 10 stage counter, therefore the sequence of the traffic lights is spread over 10 clock pulses, 4on red, 1 on red & amber, 4 on green and 1 on amber __ Designed by Andy Clarkson

Transformerless Power Supply -  if a circuit requires very low current of a few milliamperes, transformerless power supply is an ideal solution. Here is a guide to designing your own transformerless power supply__ 01/22/2016 - EYI

Transformerless Power Supply -  One of the major challenges during a circuit design is to generate low-voltage DC from AC to power the circuit.  There are many methods to convert AC voltage into DC.__ Electronics Projects for You

Triggered spark gap -  This is purely a construction article.  __

Trimming the Internal Clock on a KX8 MicroController -  Example algorithms for manually or automatically tuning the oscillator on the internal clock generator of the popular MC68HC908KX8 microcontroller.  Also includes batch test results and a video.   __ Contact David Cook

Triple output power supply system -  Most OEM's realize the value of being able to test at the subsystem level, but most don't realize just how cheaply and fast a small dedicated power supply tester can be built - so they don't even try.  in the critical start-up phase of any major project launch, when all the various parts are coming together for the first time, it's very critical to be able to monitor the quality of complex subsystems. __ Designed by Steve Hageman

Tube curve tracer -  The tester is an entirely analog device controlled by a PCi bus industrial DAC/ADC card.  As built, it enabling curve-tracing of small single and dual triodes with indirect heating.  Dual triodes can be tested each side separately or both sides in parallel.  Full tests of pentodes are possible with an external screen grid supply.  The design is easily scalable for power tubes (as for Ua/ia limits) , although to drop grid bias below -15V (OpAmp limits) you need to add a special DC amplifier with it's own power supply.  Once a set of tube curves is retrieved, the software can estimate operating point, linearity, Gm-mu-Rp curves, etc __ Contact Klausmobile Tube Tester Files

TV Light -  Switch you TV lamp while comfortably seated on you armchair, using your TV's remote control (*).  Of course, you can use the same circuit for a variety of other "comfortable" uses, like controlling a fan or the heating.  Those very versed in electronics DiY could apply it to very unusual devices, like telephones or answering machines.   __ Designed by Projects & Ideas from Nutchip.com

Universal OS PIC Programmer -  This programmer requires only a basic terminal program capable of uploading an acsii PIC  HEX file.  it does not matter what operating system or computer (MAC, Win98, XP, Vista, DOS, Linux, etc.) is used to talk to it.   __ Designed by Luhan Monat - Mesa Arizona

USB Printer Sharing Switch -  i had two computers, a Mac Mini and a generic Windows computer.  Both were on different networks, but in the same room, and I wanted to share a Lexmark USB laser printer between the two of them.  I ended up making this switch to share the printer between the two computers __ Designed by Dick Cappels

Using 555 Timer as an A/D Converter -  Measure voltages accurately with a microcontroller using this simple circuit.  includes sample program for the Parallax Basic Stamp.   __ Designed by Bob Blick
