Circuit Multiplexes Automotive Sensors -  01/20/00 EDN Design Ideas:  Often, aµC limits the number of input-capture lines to accommodate the various types of automotive sensors with pulsed outputs, such as vehicle- and engine-speed sensors.  The circuit in Figure 1 uses discrete components to multiplex two sensors with open-collector outputs into a single output, thereby sharing one input-capture line of the µC.  The µC selects the sensor whose output you will measure.    Design by Adil Ansari

Dome Lamp Dimmer -  This unique circuit makes your dome light look cool.  Usually when the car door is closed, the dome light just goes OFF.  With this circuit, you can have our dome light fade slowly.   __  Contact:  Charles Wenzel of Wenzel Associates, Inc.

Dome light dimmer (with Delay) -  For all you guys out there that want a fading dome light (aka courtesy light aka theatre lighting) without having to pay for one, you can build your own.  I have attached the schematics and you can build it for a few bucks given that you don't have any spare components lying around otherwise it can cost you absolutely nothing.  Of course you can rip some parts from your TV, CD player, radio, etc.  , but i'm not responsible for the damage you cause this way [b:e43bc460fa]The way it works[/b:e43bc460fa] I won't bother you with technical__

Dome Light Extender -  There are countless dome light extenders on the Net and in magazines, but most of them suffer from one problem complexity.  Ok, they are not actually complex, but most are far more complex than they need to be.  Some are completely over the top, and require additional car wiring, a PCB, IC s, trimpots and lots of other stuff, while others seem to be someone's untested idea or maybe just a brain fart - some circuits I saw will never work.  My goal was extreme simplicity, and I think that has been achieved.   __ Designed by Rod Elliott  ESP

Electronic Chime -  Scroll Down to find this circuit.  This circuit simulates a chime similar to the sound many cars make when the keys are left in the ignition.  The bottom two gates form a squarewave audio oscillator that drives the base of the 2N4401, turning it on and off at an audio rate.  The top two gates produce a short low-going pulse about once per second that discharges the 10 uF capacitor through the diode.  The voltage then jumps up and slowly decays __  Contact:  Charles Wenzel of Wenzel Associates, Inc.

Electronic Combination Lock -  This 7-digit combination lock can be easily hard-wired for any combination that you choose.  The circuit uses a 4-bit, divide-by-8 Johnson counter (IC 1) , ten pushbutton switches and npn transistor T1.  At power-‘on, ’...__ Electronics Projects for You

Electronic combination lock based on PIC -  This is my electronic combination lock to use with an outdoor gate.  The functionality is implemented in software.  it turns on a relay (usually to open a door) for a few seconds.  Uses a PIC 16F84A.   __ Designed by Peter Jakab

Electronic Combination Lock with AVR -  CodeLock AVR electronic combination lock is realised with Atmel AVR microcontroller AT89C2051 or AT90S2313 or ATtiny2313 or ATtiny45.  Program in hex code is 2 kB long.  One user code (Ver.1) is consisted of 1 to 8 digits.  One user code (Ver.2.1, 2.2, 2.3) is consisted of 1 to 4 digits.  if you buy the chip (Ver.2.1, 2.2, 2.3) than you can enter 1 or 8 user codes that are consisted of 1 to 9 digits.

Emergency Light & Alarm -  Powered by two AA Ni-CD batteries; Four switchable options __ Contact Flavio Dellepiane, fladello @ tin.it

Engine Control unit Schematics -  The original plans for the ECU called for a very simple unit designed to keep the engine within parameters.  I was going to use a Basic Stamp 2, a pressure transducer, and a thermocouple.  As work progressed, I realized that greater functionality could be obtained with a proper tachometer, and the use of a faster, more capable, compiled Microchip controller.  I will leave these circuits posted, but the final ECU will make much greater use of the inherent capabilities of the PIC 16F876, 28-pin microcontroller, especially for tasks like driving the pump and the glow plug.__
