Brake Light Flasher for Motorcycles -  Several years ago one car manufacturer added a rapid flasher to their brake lights.  Wow!  Those things really got your attention when the driver stepped on the brakes.  But, if you ever had to stop behind one at a traffic light at night, you were likely to go into seizures from the strobing, rear lights covering your field of vision.  I think they dumped the idea __ Designed by Tony van Roon  VA3AVR

Brake Light Signal Module -  Generates 4 short flashes, followed by a steady on light; Can drive LED Arrays at currents up to 1 Amp __ Contact Flavio Dellepiane, fladello @ tin.it

Brakelight Flasher -  This is basically a flasher circuit modified to turn on and off a bulb instead of a LED.  it uses a 555 timer IC working as an astable multivibrator.  The flashing rate can be varied from very fast to a maximum of once in 1.5 sec by varying  preset VR1.    The ON time of  circuit is given by: TON= 0.69xC1x (R1 + VR1) second and  OFF time is: TOFF= 0.69xC1xVR1 second __ Designed by Radioland.nt.au

Brakelight hookup -  This circuit is NOT a pulser or flasher!  What's so special about this circuit? Well, the first third-brake light I installed I had to pull a wire from the Third Brake Light all the way underneath the carpet to the brake-pedal-switch and I thought it would be easier to pluck the signal of both brakelights via the trunk.  Bench-test your circuit first and apply power to the circuit,  __ Designed by Tony van Roon  VA3AVR

Breakdown Beacon -  This is a very simple automotive project you can keep in the boot of the car for those unfortunate occasions when you break down.  I hope this will not be very often but the chances of a breakdown are always greatest on a cold and windy night, just when you need some sort of warning to say you are laid-up at the side of the road.   __ Designed by Collin Mitchell

Capacitor Discharge Ignition -  The CDI ignition circuit produces a spark from an ignition coil by discharging a capacitor across the primary of the coil.  A 2uF capacitor is charged to about 340 volts and the discharge is controlled by an SCR.  A Schmitt trigger oscillator (74C14) and MOSFET (iRF510) are used to drive the low voltage side of a small (120/12 volt) power transformer and a voltage doubler arrangement is used on the high voltage side to increase the capacitor voltage to about 340 volts.  A similar Schmitt trigger oscillator is used to trigger the SCR about 4 times per second __ Designed by Bill Bowden

Car acceleration meter -    NOTE:  This page is available in Greek and English language.  This circuit it is count the acceleration from -1000mg up to +1000mg.  Can be used in lot of applications like cars, elevators, ramps and more.   __ Designed by Michael Karaoglanidis

Car Alarm & Immobilizer -  This circuit features automatic exit and entry delays - an optional instant alarm zone - an optional intermittent siren output - and an automatic reset.  By adding external relays you can immobilize the vehicle and flash the lights.   __ Designed by Ron J.

Car Alarm Arming Horn Beep Canceller -  it's a great convenience that most modern cars come with a built in alarm, however it is nothing but noise pollution that the horn sounds when the alarm is armed.  Disconnecting the alarm system from the horn relay will eliminate this, but prevent the horn from sounding in the even of an actual alarm.  This circuit serves to silence the arming beep yet maintain the alarm by introducing a small delay into the signal.   __ Designed by Aaron Cake

Car Alarm Sound Booster -  For car alarms, emphasis should be put on hearing the audible alert and identifying it as belonging to your ‘wheels’.  Unfortunately, modern car alarm systems seem to have the more or less the same alarm sound — especially if they are from the same brand.  Also.  must register on this site __ Designed by Published in Elecktor July/Aug, 2010

Car anti theft wireless alarm -  This FM radio-controlled antift alarm can be used with any vehicle having 6to 12-volt DC supply system.  The minI VHF, FM transmitter is fitted in  vehicle at night when it is parked in  car porch or car park.  The receiver unit with CXA1019, a single IC -based FM radio module, which is freely available in  market at reasonable rate, is kept inside.  Receiver is __ Designed by Radioland.nt.au

Car Anti-Hijack Alarm No.3 -  Automobile Alarm Circuits:  Like the first two Hijack Alarms - if a door is opened while the ignition is switched on - the circuit will trip.  And after a few minutes delay - when the thief is at a safe distance - the Siren will sound.  But this time the engine does not go on to fail automatically.  instead - it will continue to run until the thief turns off the ignition.  Then the engine will not re-start. __ Designed by Ron J.

Car Anti-Theft Alarm & Immobilizer -  Automobile Alarm Circuits:  This car alarm circuit features Exit and Entry delays - an instant alarm zone - an optional intermittent siren output - and an automatic Reset.  By adding external relays you can immobilize the vehicle and flash the lights.  __ Designed by Ron J.

Car Converter - 12V to 9V -  To get a more precise output voltage, replace zener diode Z1 with 10V and R1 with a 1Kilo ohm potentiometer.  A Coolrib for Q1 is optional but highly recommended.  You can replace Q1 for a more robust type to get more output amps depending on your requirements.  Simple circuit to power your 9 volt cassette recorder and other stuff __ Designed by Tony van Roon  VA3AVR

Car Dome Light Extender -  There are countless dome light extenders on the Net and in magazines, but most of them suffer from one problem complexity.  Ok, they are not actually complex, but most are far more complex than they need to be.  Some are completely over the top, and require additional car wiring, a PCB, IC s, trimpots and lots of other stuff, while others seem to be someone's untested idea or maybe just a brain fart - some circuits I saw will never work.  My goal was extreme simplicity, and I think that has been achieved.   __ Designed by Rod Elliott  ESP

Car Ignition 12v Switch -  A Discover Circuits visitor needed a way to redirect +12v DC in his car to some auxiliary loads whenever the car’s engine was running.  Many cars have cigarette lighter outlet jacks, which are either live all the time or become live when the car’s engine is running . . .
