Faulty Car Indicator Alarm -  Before taking a turn, either left or right, car drivers need to switch on the car’s turn-indicator lamps so that the approaching vehicle drivers can take precaution accordingly.  An accident is...__ Electronics Projects for You

FCD (Fuel Cut Defencer) -  The circuit can be easily built to a small plastic box with telephone connectors in both ends.  The circuit takes about 10-20 mA current, so if the circuit is not in use all the time it is best to use batteries.  You can also use small wall transformer to power the circuit.  Remeber to take a wall transformer which gives good quality output (regulated model preferred) , __

Five output, Automotive (Vehicular) power system, with dual Li-Ion battery chargers -  This power supply was designed and delivered in less than 4 weeks for a client that had discovered that his power supply solution would not work in his vehicular test and measurement application.  Leveraging the clients existing parts inventory and parts directly available from local distributors this supply was designed and sent out for fabrication in 7 days, thereby preserving their delivery schedule __ Designed by Steve Hageman

Flashing/Pulsing third Brake lite for cars -  Several years ago these flashers were introduced in the automotive industry as part of the third brake light and contained strobe lights (and strobing continuously for the duration of pressing the break pedal) but got abandoned almost immediately sometime later because of the 'strobe' effect it has on some people.  This circuit has become obsolet since much better circuits are available these days without the 'lag' in between brakes caused by R4 and C3.  One of the circuits is listed below __ Designed by Tony van Roon  VA3AVR

Flashing-Cum-Running Light -  This circuit generates flashing lights in running pattern.  in conventional running lights, the LEDs glow one by one.  in this circuit, the LEDs flash a number of times one by one. The...__ Electronics Projects for You

Fuel Cut Defeater for Cars with Variable Boost Control -  Are you intending to build the Variable Boost Control described earlier? if so, you will need to built this simple Fuel Cut Defeater (FCD) to eliminate the standard factory fuel cut which typically occurs at boost levels about 16-17psi.  The unit is not adjustable, so no external controls are required.__ SiliconChip

Fuel Injector Pulse Width Monitor -  Shown below is the schematic for the pulse width monitor.  The heart of the circuit is the transistor current source which charges cap C10 to form an integrator.  The theory is that the cap is charged and the voltage across it increases linearly for the amount of time that the injector is energized.  As the injector is switched off the voltage in C10 is stored in cap C9 and then C10 is reset to 0 volts to get ready for the next cycle.  The output of the circuit is the voltage across cap C9, this voltage is fed directly into U3 the bar graph chip to be displayed as a value betw1een 1-10 on the LEDs.  __

Grand Cherokee Off Highway Lights -  I purchased my 95 ZJ as a daily driver and as a tow rig for my CJ-7.  I have to drive roughly 240 km (110 miles??) a day.  A lot of this driving is done in the dark, and since I live in the woods, there is naturally a lot of wildlife to be seen, and hit.  I also didn't want to hit another deer (hit one almost one month after I bought it).  I felt that the high beams on my ZJ were inadequate, so I decided to add some high powered lights.  I purchased four Pro Comp 8 inch 130 watt lights.  I mounted them on a roof rack that I built, which also holds my spare tire and 55-watt reverse light (which I get to later).   __ Designed by Mike Mueller

Head Lamp control by the shifting lever -  This circuit causes the operation only when the head lamp is lighted by 'IC  Con-Light'.  Because, in the case of operation by the usual lamp switch (combination swtch) , it is to do as the head lamp.   __ Designed by Seiichi Inoue

Head Lamp illumination confirmation Device -  Circuit where I introduce here it checks the normal operation of the head lamp and warns to the driver in the case that the electric bulb is not lighted __ Designed by Seiichi Inoue

Head Lamp turn on dimly -  in Japan when the momentary stop is done with intersection at night, the head lamp is turned off.  The circuit where __ Designed by Seiichi Inoue

Head Light Alarm -  "Never forget to turn off your head light ever again!   Most newer cars already have this feature built-in but there are still lots of cars out there without it.   This simple circuit is cheap and can be built for about $5 bucks! " __ Designed by Tony van Roon  VA3AVR

Headlight guard -  We can text the functionality of the unit with the vehicle's battery.   The 0V wire connects to the negative terminal of the battery.  The parking light wire connects to the positive terminal.   When these two connections are made, the buzzer will sound.   When we connect the ignition wire to the positive terminal (along with the Parking Light Wire) the buzzer stops.   Every time the ignition wite is removed from the battery, the buzzer will sound.  __ CdS Electronic

Headlight Reminder for Cars -  Ever forgotten to turn your car's headlights off? This device could save you from a flat battery.__ SiliconChip

Headlights Timer -  Pushbutton activated; Very simple circuitry __ Contact Flavio Dellepiane, fladello @ tin.it

Hijack Alarm -  There are two alarms here, be sure to scroll down.  The first circuit was designed for the situation where a hijacker forces the driver from the vehicle.  if a door is opened while the ignition is switched on, the circuit will trip.  After a few minutes delay, when the thief is at a safe distance, the alarm will sound and the engine will fail __ Designed by Ron J

Improvement of the power windoW switch -  Most of the car in Japan (probably your country also) are equipped with the power window.  The power window does not operate when the engine is stopped.
There is reason in order that the power window operates.   __ Designed by Seiichi Inoue

Infra Red Remote Control Extender -  This circuit is used to relay signals from an infra Red remote control in one room to an IR controlled appliance in another room.   __ Designed by Andy Collison

Inside Story: Audison LR604XR Amplifier (Car Audio) -  Of the few car amplifiers I tested, gutted, decyphered and fixed, this one seems to be the best in design quality.  Too many car amps (although solidly built) are apparently designed by computer class students, too many traces, too many vias, absolutely wrong component placement etc.  And on schematic level, their different functional parts look like a newspaper clip collection.  if the amp  __ Contact klausmobile @ yahoo.Com

Interface between GM's 5 Volt 8192 Baud ALDL Data Stream & a PC Serial Port -  There have been a number of designs published (none by GM) to enable the GM proprietory ALDL data stream to be tapped into.  Our design uses a MAX232 (or MAX233) because this is the simplest way to do it.  We also avoid using a separate power supply by powering the MAX chip from the PC's serial port (DTR and RTS signals must be set to +ve)  __ Designed by Author P. Gargano

Interior light extender -  All modern cars are fitted with door-switch operated courtesy lights.  Useful devices, but not quite as useful as they might be because they are so arranged that the light is extinguished as soon as you close the door - just when you need light to find the ignition switch.  do up your seat belt etc.  How much better if the internal light stayed on for a few seconds after the door is closed.   This little project does just that.  it provides a four-second delay (approx) after which the interior light slowly dims - being finally extinguished after 10 or 12 seconds.   The unit is very simple to construct and once tested and properly insulated it may be wired across one of the car door switches.   in operation, after a short delay the lights will gradually dim until they are completely extinguished.  There is no battery drain in the off-state as the unit only operates during the delay period after the door is closed.__ CdS Electronic

Jared's Ride Isn't Fly, but the Steering's Perfect -  7-Nov-05 -Design News:   So he always stays on course, Jared designed a mechatronic device that simulates perfect steering in an automobile.  The small-scale, single-wheel model determines the speed of wheel rotation from the magnitude of the curve it's traveling.  it works by setting the initial speed of a PIC -controlled dc __  Gadget Freak

Knight Rider Lights -  The 555 timer IC is connected for Astable Operation, the clock pulses are fed to the 4017 IC via the 10K resistor.  The 4017 is a 10 stage counter, each of the outputs is connected to the appropriate LED, as some LEDs need to be on for more than one count, we use diodes to avoid a short circuit situation between outputs.  The capacitor and resistor __ Designed by Andy Clarkson
