Passive and Discrete

Passive electronic components such as resistors, inductors and capacitors that do not require power to operate.

Capacitors - Capacitors are electronic components used for storing charge and energy.

Diodes - Diodes are electronic components that conduct electric current in only one direction, functioning as a one-way valve.

Electronic Bridges - Electronic bridges are used to cross from one circuit, channel, board or element over to another.

Impedance Matching Networks - Impedance matching networks are electrical circuits which, when connected between two networks, match the output impedance of the source (the first network) to the input impedance of the load (the receiving or second network). The purpose of matching these two impedances is to minimize wave reflection and/or to maximize the transfer of power between the system and the load.

Inductors - An inductor is a passive electrical component used to store energy in a magnetic field.

Magnets - A magnet is simply any material capable of attracting iron and producing a magnetic field outside itself, either naturally or induced.

Resistors and Potentiometers - Resistors and potentiometers are passive electronic components that oppose the flow of either alternating current (AC) or direct current (DC).

Transformers - Transformers transfer electrical energy from one electric circuit to another, typically by the principles of electromagnetic induction. Transformer types include potential, current, step-up, step-down, distribution and others.

Transistors - Transistors are electronic devices made of semiconductor material that amplify a signal or open or close a circuit.

Vacuum Tubes - Vacuum tubes are electronic components used to amplify, switch, modify and/or create analog signals by controlling the movement of electrons in low-pressure spaces.
